Parental involvement is vital to our productivity and success. Our experience has shown us that children value the interest their parents take in their school. Some of the volunteer opportunities available to parents at Wellington include, but are not limited to:
• Driving and/or chaperoning for fieldtrips and excursions
• Sprucing up and maintaining the school yard and grounds
• Preparing homemade snacks for full time children
• Presenting in class about your job or special talents
• Supervising during the lunch/recess hour
• Helping with the preparation, setup and clean up of school programs
• Assembling costumes, building and painting sets for the annual play production
Volunteers other than parents and/or legal guardians are permitted to volunteer time by invitation or prior approval of the Director. All volunteers must complete a Washington State Criminal History Background Check.
